When a bride-to-be prepared for her wedding, pampering usually included hair, make-up and some item(s) off a local spa menu. While this is still true, the preparation for the big day has become more than just a few superficial changes. The concept of the bridalplasty has emerged in the past decade. Botox injections and injectable fillers headline the main choices, eliminating that nasty furrowing between the eyebrows (who wants to see that in the wedding pictures) and plumping up lips for the big kiss. Others undergo non-invasive body contouring treatments, permanent make-up and laser skin refreshing. But some patients also prepare in a much more invasive way by actually having surgery. Procedures such as breast augmentation, liposuction and rhinoplasty top the list for most younger women who are embarking on their first marriage. Fitting into a dress, looking better than their bridesmaids and feeling more comfortable in pictures and videos can all be helped by the wedding plastic surgeon.
